American actor RJ Mitte, widely known for his role as Walter Jr. on the cult series 'Breaking Bad,' has died at the age of 34, infohub.kz reports.
His representatives confirmed the death to Deadline. "With profound sorrow, we announce the tragic passing of our beloved actor, philanthropist, and dedicated disability rights advocate Mitte," their statement said.
RJ Mitte was not only an actor but also a public activist who championed the rights of people with disabilities. This work was rooted in his own life experience—the actor lived with cerebral palsy.
That circumstance played a key role in his career: on 'Breaking Bad,' his character, Walter Jr., also had cerebral palsy. Mitte appeared in 56 episodes of the show.
In 2014, he and his castmates received the Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG Awards) for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
According to IMDb, over his career RJ Mitte appeared in more than 30 films and TV series. This summer saw the premiere of the drama 'Conversations with Strangers,' in which he played the lead role.
