In Astana, traffic on Almaty Street will be fully closed from June 18 until the end of 2026 on the section between Akmeshit Street and Turkestan Street, according to the official website of the capital's akimat, as reported by infohub.kz.
Additionally, from July 20 until the end of 2026, traffic will be completely closed on the section of Almaty Street from Akmeshit Street to Sauran Street.
However, the intersections of Almaty Street with Sauran, Akmeshit, and Turkestan streets will remain open.
The restrictions are introduced due to the construction of a transport tunnel on Almaty Street from Mangilik El Avenue to Sauran Street.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised to plan their routes in advance. To ensure safety and minimize inconvenience, temporary road signs and indicators will be installed at these sections.
