Rollme has introduced its View Series smart glasses, featuring a 12-megapixel Sony camera, a voice AI assistant, and real-time conversation translation. Priced at just $100 (about 45,000 tenge), the device is accessible to a wide audience. Kursiv LifeStyle explores the capabilities of these glasses and how the manufacturer managed to keep the price low.

The series includes two models: AuraView and ProView. Both look more like ordinary glasses than futuristic gadgets. The frame houses a Sony IMX386 camera that captures first-person photos and videos. To shoot, simply press a physical button on the temple, and recordings are saved to 4GB of built-in storage.

The camera is not just for photos. The system can recognize objects and landmarks, translate text in front of your eyes, and assist with translation during conversations. The glasses also feature a voice assistant that works with models like ChatGPT.

Sound is delivered through directional speakers in the temples. Positioned near the ears, they allow you to listen to music or conversations without isolating yourself from the world. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6.

Power comes from a 280 mAh battery. The manufacturer promises 10 to 12 hours of use, though active shooting and translation use will likely reduce that significantly.

The AuraView features a metal semi-rimless frame with brown lenses, while the ProView has a plastic full-rim design. The latter comes with tinted and clear lenses.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that Meta introduced its new line of Meta Glasses smart glasses. Unlike previous models, the new offering is more budget-friendly, with prices starting at $299 (nearly 150,000 tenge).
