US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters that American leader Donald Trump is deeply frustrated with Ukraine's position on a peaceful settlement of the conflict with Moscow, infohub.kz reports.
According to Rubio, this is not mere dissatisfaction: the White House chief is frustrated by the lack of progress in negotiations to which he has devoted nearly two years.
"The president is frustrated... He is certainly angry and frustrated about the lack of progress in these negotiations after devoting almost two years to them," the US Secretary of State noted.
Earlier, Donald Trump criticized Volodymyr Zelensky, saying that Ukraine should find a new leader capable of making deals.
In turn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with Bloomberg that Trump's policies are pushing Kyiv toward capitulation.
Additionally, media reports have suggested that the US president and his team will try to impose a peace deal on Ukraine on Russia's terms.
