Yevgeniya Shelekhova, a Russian citizen, lost a bag containing all her documents, money, and personal belongings while en route to Ust-Kamenogorsk. The incident occurred in the East Kazakhstan Region, reports the website infohub.kz.
For the foreign tourist, losing her passports, including those of her children, and all her savings in a foreign country could have had serious consequences. The woman went to the duty office of the police department in Shemonaikha district, where she expected a lengthy search. However, thanks to the CCTV cameras of the Operational Management Center, duty inspector Viktor Nikitin traced her route within hours, identified the place of loss, and returned the belongings to their rightful owner fully intact.
"I cannot fully express my gratitude for how promptly the police officers acted. All my passports, children's passports, money — everything was found intact. Many thanks to the entire department and especially to Viktor Valeryevich Nikitin for their professionalism and speed!" Yevgeniya Shelekhova shared her emotions.
