Ryan Gosling and Warner Bros. have launched development on a live-action Flintstones movie centered on an adult Bamm-Bamm Rubble, reports infohub.kz.
Warner Bros. has begun work on a live-action feature film based on the classic animated series "The Flintstones." The project is being produced by actor Ryan Gosling and his business partner Jessie Henderson through their company "Open Invite."
Currently, the filmmakers are searching for a screenwriter. According to available information, the plot will focus on an adult Bamm-Bamm Rubble, the adopted son of Barney and Betty Rubble, who possesses incredible strength. It is not yet known whether Ryan Gosling will take on a role in the film or limit himself to producing duties.
The original "Flintstones" animated series aired on ABC in the 1960s. Previously, the franchise has seen live-action films: the 1994 movie starring John Goodman and Rick Moranis, and its 2000 prequel. The new film will be the first live-action adaptation centered on an adult Bamm-Bamm.
