World No. 1 and Kazakhstani tennis player Elena Rybakina has said she wants to win the French Open to complete a career Grand Slam of all four major titles. She spoke after winning the 2026 US Open, according to infohub.kz.

"You know, during the US Open I said it would be great to win Roland Garros — then I would have four Grand Slam titles. Right now I'm world No. 1, and that's wonderful. But the season isn't over yet. I'd like to keep it going and hold the top ranking until the end of the year. Then again, who knows how things will turn out. There are many strong players and tough rivals on the tour. The situation can change at any moment. But for now, that's the goal," Sportarena.kz quoted the tennis player as saying.

It was reported earlier that Rybakina has joined a new structure in world tennis — the new Players' Advisory Council for the Grand Slam tournaments.
