In the sixth round of the Russian Premier League (RPL), Grozny's Akhmat and Samara's Krylia Sovetov played out a 3:3 draw, reports infohub.kz.
The match took place at the Akhmat Arena and delighted fans with a flurry of goals. In the first half alone, the teams exchanged attacking blows: on 15 minutes, Ivan Oleinikov put the visitors ahead, but on 36 minutes Lechi Sadulaev equalized for the hosts, and two minutes later Angolan midfielder Egas Cazintura gave Akhmat the lead. However, just before the break, in first-half stoppage time (45+1), Krylia Sovetov defender Nikita Chernov restored parity.
The second half continued in the same vein. On 60 minutes, Georgi Melkadze again put Akhmat in front, but on 73 minutes Ivan Oleinikov scored his second of the game to make it 3:3.
Kazakhstani players took part in the match. Maksim Samorodov, a forward for the Kazakhstan national team who returned to Akhmat's squad after injury, started and played the first half before being substituted. He did not register a goal or assist. Krylia Sovetov winger Islam Chesnokov came on after the break but also failed to influence the scoreline. Another national team striker, Galymzhan Kenzhebek, was named in Akhmat's squad but remained on the bench.
The Grozny side, managed by former Kazakhstan head coach Stanislav Cherchesov, sit tenth in the RPL table with six points. Krylia Sovetov are just below them on the same number of points.
