The interactive Saqbol risk map, developed by specialists at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has won an international competition, taking first place, according to infohub.kz.
The platform operates in real time and tracks epidemics, climate anomalies, and other threats to public health, the ministry's press service reported.
The project has already proven effective in practice. The system automatically identifies risks, enabling medical workers and emergency responders to act preemptively and prevent large-scale crises.
The Kazakh experts' development is now officially recognized as the best among the Commonwealth of Independent States in healthcare digitalization.
"The Saqbol map and the work of the Operations Center make it possible to identify and analyze risks before they escalate into a large-scale crisis. This international victory confirms that the chosen vector for developing domestic healthcare is the right one," the Ministry of Health emphasized.
The system's creators do not intend to rest on their laurels. They plan to teach the platform to predict threats even more accurately and to combine data from various agencies into a single large network. This will allow ministries to work together under common rules, and Kazakhstan to maintain its status as a leader in digital protection of public health.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan is transferring all medical workers' careers into a unified digital system. The updated National Human Resources Accounting System will now track a specialist's entire path — from enrollment in medical college to advanced training, employment, and job changes.
