In Karaganda, seventeen security guards took their employer to court over unpaid wages for two months. As a result, they won the case and will receive their money, reports infohub.kz.
According to the official Telegram channel of the Supreme Court, 17 guards of a limited liability partnership (LLP) filed a lawsuit in the Bokeikhanov District Court of Karaganda to recover wage arrears for February and March 2025.
The defendant explained that the debt arose due to the unilateral termination of the contract by the client, who did not pay for the services rendered.
In accordance with subparagraph 5, paragraph 2, Article 23 of the Labor Code, the employer is obliged to pay employees their wages in full and on time, regardless of the performance of obligations by third parties.
During the court proceedings, it was established that the plaintiffs fully performed their work duties. This was confirmed by evidence presented, including duty rosters and logs of tangible assets at the guarded facilities.
In addition, a decision of the Specialized Interdistrict Economic Court of the Karaganda Region, which has entered into legal force, satisfied the LLP's claim against the counterparty that terminated the contract. The counterparty was ordered to pay 10.8 million tenge in debt.
After considering the case, the court concluded that the claims were justified and granted the lawsuit in full. The LLP was ordered to pay more than 3 million tenge in wage arrears for two months to all 17 employees.
