Three forest fires occurred on July 22 in the state forest nature reserve "Semey Ormany," according to the website infohub.kz.

Preliminary data indicate that lightning discharges were the cause.

"The fire hotspots were promptly detected during aerial patrols by the Republican State Enterprise 'Kazavialesookhrana,' as well as through the early forest fire detection system. This allowed state forest protection workers and airborne firefighting paratroopers to quickly begin containing the fires and prevent their further spread," said the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of forest protection workers and specialists from the Kazavialesookhrana state enterprise, as well as the timely deployment of all necessary equipment, both fires, which covered small areas, were quickly extinguished and posed no threat to the surrounding territory.

With a high fire danger level in effect, citizens were urged to strictly comply with fire safety requirements, treat the forest with care, and keep the environment clean.
