Police in the East Kazakhstan Region have detained a married couple from Ust-Kamenogorsk who, according to investigators, began distributing drugs after finding a "job" on TikTok, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the press service of the regional police department, the spouses are suspected of distributing narcotic substances.
Investigators established that the woman found an offer of illegal earnings on TikTok and began distributing psychotropic substances through hidden stashes.
She brought her husband in for her next outing. According to preliminary data, the woman had set up six stashes before handing several packets of the banned substance to her husband. Both were detained by police shortly afterward.
During a personal search, officers found 19 packets on the woman and seven more on her husband. An expert examination determined that they contained the synthetic narcotic alpha-PVP. The total weight of the seized substance was about 33 grams, which constitutes an especially large amount.
A criminal case has been opened. The man has been placed in a temporary detention facility, while a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest has been imposed on the woman.
