An American family has set a world record for the most generations born on the same date: five consecutive generations of relatives were all born on September 14, according to infohub.kz.
The unique achievement of the Harlow family from the state of Iowa was officially registered by Guinness World Records. The chain of alternating-gender newborns stretches back more than a century.
The record holders include great-great-grandfather Wilber, his daughter Addie, her son Fred Harlow, his daughter Emma Bell, and her young son Arthur.
The family had previously known it shared a world record with four generations but had been in no hurry to submit an official application. The situation changed after Arthur's birth in 2025.
Emma Bell said her grandmother Addie had always dreamed of a great-grandson who would be born on exactly September 14. By happy coincidence, the boy was born on precisely the date doctors had scheduled.
Family members admit they are still amazed by the coincidence and plan to continue celebrating together.
