Karagandy's Shakhter continues its confident march towards a spot in the 2027 Kazakhstan Premier League, securing its 12th consecutive victory in the First League, reports infohub.kz.
In the 19th round match, Andrei Finonchenko's side left no chance for the capital's youth team. A brace from Dias Kalybayev, the 18th goal from the league's top scorer Artyom Litosh, and a penalty converted by Andrei Ulshin gave the miners a resounding 4:0 victory.
Kairat-Zhas, despite having no tournament motivation, also defeated Turan 4:0 away, another contender for promotion. Mansur Birkurmanov and Abylai Toleukhan scored before the break. In the second half, Birkurmanov, who was left on the bench the day before in the Europa League qualifier against Anderlecht, completed his brace. Daulet Orynbasar put the final touch in stoppage time.
In other matches of the round, Zhaik and Kaspiy-M played out a 0:0 draw, with the goalkeeper saving a penalty and a visiting player being sent off. Tobol-M nearly salvaged a home match from 0:3 down but lost to Khan-Tengri 3:4. Elimai-M lost to Aktobe-M 2:5 despite leading 2:0. Arys and Taraz shared the spoils 1:1, while Akademiya Ontustik snatched a 3:2 win over Batyr.
The 20th round of the First League will take place on August 27 and 28.
