Concern is growing in Kyrgyzstan that too few tickets may be sold for Colombian singer Shakira's concert in Bishkek. Kursiv LifeStyle reports on the reasons for the country's residents' worries and what they are urging organizers to address, according to infohub.kz.
Shakira's performance is scheduled for October 18. With only days left before the concert, social media users are actively discussing the number of unsold tickets and preparations for the event.
In comments under Bishkek Arena's posts on Threads, users write that many tickets remain and worry that the concert will have empty seats. Some call on organizers to heed audience feedback and better prepare for the show.
However, users' questions are not limited to ticket sales. Some recall the arena's opening and complain about the cold, drafts, and plastic seats. Others suggest allowing spectators to bring thermoses of hot tea so people can stay warm during the event.
On the official ticket sales website, the picture is mixed so far. A third of the fan zone seats are booked, while seated sections are two-thirds full. At the same time, some stands have almost no free seats left, and other sections remain virtually empty.
Meanwhile, tours to the concert are already being offered in Kazakhstan. They promise to include round-trip travel from Almaty, concert tickets, and additional entertainment during the trip. Many companies do not disclose prices. Buses from Almaty to Bishkek, according to the Sayran bus station website, are already almost fully booked.
Recall that Shakira's concert will take place on October 18 at Bishkek Arena. The program will feature the singer's hits and songs from her 2024 album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. Tickets cost from 60,000 tenge. According to the Kyrgyz side, no subsequent show in Kazakhstan should be expected.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle wrote that there would be no free tickets or invitations to the concert, as stated by the head of Sadir Japarov's press service.
