Colombian singer Shakira has once again captured the public's attention by sharing an updated version of her famous 1997 photo that became an internet meme. In the new image, the artist poses at a desk next to a printer, mimicking the distinctive pose from the past century, reports infohub.kz.
The original archival shot was taken in June 1997 by photographer Oscar Berrocal at the offices of the newspaper El Heraldo in Barranquilla. At the time, the twenty-year-old singer, who had gained popularity after the album Pies Descalzos, was participating in a special photo shoot. The photographer asked her to sit at a computer and pretend to be working. The main quirk of the photo was the turned-off monitor, in front of which the artist kept her hands on the keyboard. Later, the image became a viral meme about faking work.
Nearly thirty years later, the artist has returned to the legendary scene. Fans enthusiastically received the post, praising the singer's great sense of humor and the accuracy with which she recreated the atmosphere of the original photo.
