A man in Zhambyl Region caused a jealousy scene with a cashier at a gas station store and was sentenced to 10 days in jail, along with a three-month alcohol ban, infohub.kz reports.

According to the official Telegram channel of Zhambyl Region courts, the Shu District Court heard an administrative offense case against the man for petty hooliganism at a gas station (Part 1 of Article 434 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

The court established that in August 2026, at night, the man came to a gas station store in the city of Shu. While intoxicated, he used obscene language toward a female acquaintance working as a cashier and smashed a bottle of beverage standing on a shelf. His behavior disrupted public order and disturbed those around him.

His guilt was proven by a protocol, witness testimony, and a police officer's report.

In court, the man fully admitted guilt and explained that he committed the actions out of jealousy.

The victim also reported that the man hit her in the face. However, she stated that she had no claims regarding this fact and forgave him.

The court recognized full admission of guilt as a mitigating circumstance, and committing the offense while intoxicated as an aggravating circumstance.

By court order, the man was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 434 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and sentenced to 10 days' arrest. In addition, he is banned for 3 months from consuming alcohol, narcotic and psychotropic substances, and is required to report to the local police station twice a month for preventive talks.

The order has entered into legal force.
