A consumer in Shymkent secured a refund of 125,000 tenge for a baby cradle-besik and a "Besik Zhasauy" set purchased through TikTok, according to infohub.kz.
According to the official website of the Committee for Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, after the goods were delivered and inspected, the buyer determined that the purchased set did not, in his opinion, meet the stated requirements and specifications.
The product was unused: its appearance, packaging, and labels were preserved. The consumer therefore asked the seller to resolve the situation and refund the money paid. However, the seller did not issue a refund.
To protect his legal rights and interests, the consumer turned to the Shymkent Department of Trade and Consumer Protection.
Specialists explained consumer protection legislation to the consumer and helped prepare a claim to the seller.
After the claim was sent, the consumer's demands were met. The 125,000 tenge paid for the "Besik Zhasauy" set was refunded in full.
