A 21-year-old man, Nurakhmet Berdibay, was arrested for 10 days in Shymkent after a TikTok live stream in which he made remarks about a day of mourning that a court deemed disrespectful to society and a breach of public order. The website infohub.kz reports.
Police identified the broadcast during social media monitoring. The live stream also featured 22-year-olds Abzal Musurmankul and Bakdaulet Mustafa.
"During the broadcast, a 21-year-old Shymkent resident, Nurakhmet Berdibay, while answering a viewer's question related to a day of mourning, made statements showing clear disrespect for society and violating public order," police said.
The court sentenced Berdibay to 10 days of administrative arrest. In addition, all three were officially warned about the inadmissibility of antisocial behavior. They were also placed on a one-month preventive register with internal affairs bodies.
Recall that on September 24, during training and combat missions by the Naval Forces in the Caspian Sea, a sudden storm and gusty winds swept 17 servicemen into the open sea. As a result, 14 people died. Due to the deaths of the soldiers, President Qasym-Jomart Toqaev declared September 25 a day of national mourning in Kazakhstan.
