A ceremony to award the grand prize of the "Wheel of Fortune" promotion, organized by the national lottery "Satti Zhuldyz" as part of the fast-draw LOTO SZ lottery, took place in Almaty on October 6. The promotion itself ran from September 1 to 30, according to infohub.kz.

Organizers said the winner was determined on September 30 during a live broadcast from the Astana TV studio. The hosts drew the grand prize using a lottery machine, and luck smiled on Dosym from Shymkent. He became the owner of a new Toyota Camry.

Dosym didn't manage to watch the broadcast and only learned of his win half an hour later. The news came at just the right time: his birthday was in five days. He came to Almaty for the keys not alone, but with his wife Nazira, their children, and a friend.

The ceremony's host, Mark, spoke with the winner and his wife.

— A few words from you.
— Thank you to the organizers for the win. Wonderful feelings!
— What did you feel when you learned about the win?
— I couldn't watch the live broadcast, I found out half an hour later. My birthday is in five days — a very good gift for this holiday. I'm very happy! Thank you!
— Did you believe it?
— I still can't believe it. When I take the keys and the registration certificate in my hands, then I'll probably believe it.
— That will be very soon. Who came with you today?
— Five people came: my wife, a friend, the children. We'll go back by car and see places around Kazakhstan.

Then the host turned to the winner's wife:
— What's your name?
— Nazira.
— Nazira, nice to meet you, my name is Mark. What did you feel when you learned that your husband won a car?
— I don't even know… We were happy. We didn't know if it was true or not. We're just starting to believe it. We're happy, thank you!

After the formal part, the family went to their new car. They will return home to Shymkent already in the Toyota Camry, and along the way Dosym plans to show his loved ones places in Kazakhstan.

Dosym's story is the best proof that luck can smile on anyone. And a new chance is already here: in October, LOTO SZ is giving away three new cars at once — a Lexus ES 250, a BMW 530, and a Li L7 Pro. Detailed terms of the promotion can be found on the LOTO SZ website.
