Five minors from the Badam station in the Turkistan region damaged the window of a passenger car on a train traveling the Tashkent–Almaty route, and their parents had to answer for it, infohub.kz reports.
According to the information media portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred on the Badam–Igilik section. Unknown individuals smashed the outer window of a passenger car.
During operational search activities, officers of the transport police department at Shymkent station identified the perpetrators. They turned out to be five residents of Badam station, aged 8, 9 and 10.
According to Yeskendir Baimurzaev, deputy head of the transport police department at Shymkent station, the children admitted their involvement in the incident in the presence of their legal representatives.
Materials were drawn up against the parents for improper fulfillment of their duties to raise and ensure the safety of minors. By a court decision, each of the parents was fined.
"Damaging the windows of moving trains is not a harmless prank, but a real threat to the safety of passengers and railway workers. Even a single thrown object can injure people," Yeskendir Baimurzaev noted.
