Kazakh rapper Skriptonit has introduced a new side project called Killa Crossavah and released a music video for the track "The Roof." Under the new alias, the artist noticeably departs from his usual sound, experimenting with rap and trap, according to infohub.kz.
In late August, Killa Crossavah released his debut mixtape, "Medoed Mixtape Vol.1." It features 15 tracks: some sound reminiscent of Gruppa Skryptonite, while others lean more toward classic rap.
The video for "The Roof" is currently available only on the project's Telegram channel. Previously, under the same alias, a video was released for the track "Spliff" from the same mixtape.
Based on reactions under his post, Skriptonit's fans welcomed the new project warmly and appreciated the artist's latest experiment. However, many users who happened to come across a clip snippet on social media did not understand Killa Crossavah's unusual delivery and sound. For a mass audience, the track proved too unconventional, so the project appears to be aimed at those already familiar with Zhalelov's work and ready for his style.
Skriptonit (real name Adil Zhalelov) is a Kazakh rapper and music producer from Pavlodar Region and founder of the label Musica36. The artist is known not only for solo releases but also for numerous musical projects. In 2018, he split his creative output into Skriptonit and Gruppa Skryptonite (soul, funk, and alternative hip-hop). Now Killa Crossavah has been added to the mix.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that Skriptonit announced a world tour with concerts in Almaty and Astana.
