Kazakhstan's Ministry of Science and Higher Education has summed up the results of the August UNT-2026. More than 27,000 applicants took the test, of whom 53% scored the threshold score. The average result across five subjects was 55 points, and the maximum was 136. Also, 98 applicants with special educational needs participated in the testing, reports infohub.kz.
During the August UNT, 66 rule violations were recorded. Of these, 30 applicants were not allowed to take the test due to attempts to bring in smartphones, cheat sheets, and other prohibited items. Another 36 people were removed from the classrooms for violations directly during the exam. No cases of impostors were identified, the ministry noted.
The ministry reminded that the check does not end there. After the UNT is completed, video recordings of the testing will be analyzed until October 31. If specialists detect the use of prohibited items or other violations, the test results will be annulled.
College graduates who want to continue their studies at a university in their specialty on a paid basis can enroll based on the results of an interview. In this case, documents are accepted by university admissions committees.
Earlier, during a government meeting, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek explained why excellent students in Kazakhstan remain without grants.
