In Zhanaozen, a touching moment during a military oath-taking ceremony has sparked a wide response from internet users. The video, shot at a military unit, garnered about 1.5 million views in a day and thousands of supportive comments, reports infohub.kz.
According to the press service of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a solemn oath-taking ceremony for new recruits took place at military unit 5548. This day is one of the most important in every serviceman's life, as it marks the beginning of their journey as defenders of the Fatherland.
Parents, relatives, and friends came to share the joy with the young soldiers. After the official part, congratulations were offered on the parade ground, families embraced their sons, took photos, and wished them successful service. However, among the hundreds of servicemen, there was one soldier who silently watched the proceedings—no one had been able to come to him that day.
This moment was noticed by Gulmira Zhangyzbayeva, a representative of the committee of soldiers' mothers "Analar Zhuregi" for the Mangystau region and Aktau. She approached the serviceman, spoke with him, and recorded a short video, which she later posted on social media. "At the oath ceremony, he was waiting for his mother, but she couldn't come. There were tears in his eyes, which he bravely held back. I went up to him, hugged him, and said: 'You are a real man. You are a hero. Your mother is surely proud of you.' We talked a bit, joked, and soon a smile appeared on his face. Sometimes a kind word and maternal support can warm the heart even far from home," wrote Gulmira Zhangyzbayeva.
The young soldier's sincere emotions did not leave users indifferent. In less than a day, the video garnered about 1.5 million views, and thousands of Kazakhstani people left words of support, noting that this episode reminds us how important attention, care, and human involvement are.
The hero of the video turned out to be Private Vladimir Usov, who was called up for compulsory military service from Uralsk. For valid reasons, his parents could not attend the oath-taking ceremony. "Of course, I wanted my parents to be by my side on such an important day. But I understand the circumstances. The main thing is they know I'm doing well. I will do my best to serve with honor and justify their trust," the new guardsman shared.
After the ceremony, the military unit's command organized video calls with the parents of servicemen who, for various reasons, could not attend the event. The young soldiers had the opportunity to see their loved ones, hear warm words of support, and receive congratulations on one of the most significant events in their military service.
