The sons of former Majilis Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin are no longer co-owners of the Novodzhambul Phosphorus Plant. Nurkhan and Nurzhan Nurlanov have fully withdrawn from the shareholders of KazChemicals Limited, which holds 100% of the plant's shares, reports infohub.kz.

As a result of the deal, all of the brothers' shares have been transferred to the majority shareholder, Kazakhmys Resources B.V., which, according to available data, is owned by prominent Kazakhstani businessman Vladimir Kim. This completes the consolidation of shares in favor of this entity.

The official statement emphasizes that the changes are purely corporate in nature and will not affect the plant's operations. All procedures for the transfer of rights were carried out in strict compliance with the law.

Notably, Nurkhan and Nurzhan Nurlanov had effectively stepped back from managing the company as early as the end of 2023. They did not participate in strategic or operational decision-making, nor did they perform any functions related to day-to-day management.

It is worth recalling that the parent structure of the Novodzhambul Phosphorus Plant is KAZ Chemicals, registered at the Astana International Financial Centre. As of 2025, the ultimate controlling party was Vladimir Kim, with the former speaker's sons listed among the founders.

Earlier reports indicated that another phosphorus enterprise linked to the Nurlanovs, Kim, and Russian shareholders, Kazphosphate, posted a loss of 14.65 billion tenge.
