Spain's men's national football team opened the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League season with a come-from-behind away win over England, as their Group A3 opener in the top division finished 3-2 to the visitors at Wembley Stadium in London, infohub.kz reports.
For the winners, forwards Lamine Yamal (2nd minute), Álex Baena (60) and Mikel Oyarzabal (74) found the net.
For the hosts, forwards Anthony Gordon (36) and Harry Kane (40) scored, with Kane failing to convert a penalty after the break (54).
In the other Group A3 match, Croatia won 2-1 away to the Czech Republic in Prague, with midfielders Luka Modrić (47) and Marko Pašalić (77) scoring. The hosts' only goal came from midfielder Adam Karabec (54).
