The creators of the blockbuster "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" have eased fans' concerns about the destruction caused by Jean Grey in New York City, reports infohub.kz.
Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who wrote the screenplay, commented to The Hollywood Reporter on the status of the mutant, played by Sadie Sink. Viewers were worried about the massive chaos the character creates on the city streets while searching for her sister.
Despite scenes of mind control and car crashes, the writers officially confirmed that Jean Grey is technically not responsible for anyone's death. According to them, it was crucial for her redemption and subsequent transformation to initially portray her as a formidable and dangerous opponent, capable of posing a serious physical and mental challenge to Peter Parker.
McKenna and Sommers also noted that they enjoyed keeping the character's identity a secret for most of the time, making the audience explore the events alongside the main characters. Destin Daniel Cretton directed the fourth installment starring Tom Holland.
