The US presidential administration has threatened to block arms supplies to Ukraine if Kyiv continues striking Russian oil refineries. This was reported by infohub.kz.

According to NUR.KZ, citing RBC, which in turn references a Financial Times report, unnamed European officials told the publication about two days of calls from Washington to Europe and Kyiv. The administration of Donald Trump is threatening to halt the operation of a procurement mechanism that supplies Ukraine with weapons.

The United States is thus pressuring Europe and Ukraine to force Kyiv to stop attacks on Russian energy infrastructure.

In addition to threatening to suspend the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) mechanism, Washington is also threatening to halt intelligence sharing.

"They are calling Kyiv... they are calling everyone (in Europe — editor's note)," the publication quoted a source who received a call from a US Department of Defense official.

The White House declined to confirm the calls, the report notes.

Recall that the day before, US President Donald Trump said Russia and Ukraine had agreed to an energy truce. Earlier, after a phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, the White House chief said a settlement of the Ukrainian conflict was approaching.

Trump also lashed out at Zelensky, saying Ukraine should find a new leader capable of making deals.
