Police in Stepnogorsk stopped a motorcycle traveling through the city without state registration plates, and a check revealed two more violations — driving under the influence of alcohol and lacking a driver's license, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Police Department of Akmola Region, the intoxicated motorcyclist was detained in Stepnogorsk.

"Another case was identified by officers of the second platoon of the RPP of the Akmola Region Police Department in the city of Stepnogorsk. At night, patrol officers noticed a Vento Riva-II CX motorcycle on Novosibirskaya Street traveling without state registration plates. While checking documents, officers detected the smell of alcohol from the driver. The man was offered a medical examination, which confirmed alcohol intoxication. In addition, he had no license to drive a vehicle," the statement said.

It was established that the driver was heading through the city to a house located on the outskirts.

Administrative protocols were drawn up against the driver. He was also held liable for driving a vehicle without state registration plates.

Lawful measures have been taken in the case.

Since the beginning of the year, police in Akmola Region have identified and suppressed 154 cases of driving motorcycles while intoxicated.
