Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court has allowed Andriy Yermak, the former head of the Ukrainian president's office, who is under arrest, to stop wearing an electronic bracelet, the website infohub.kz reports.
Yermak has been in custody since May 2026 in a money-laundering case. According to the report, lawyers for the former head of the presidential office had already asked on August 10, when the High Anti-Corruption Court was considering the extension of his procedural obligations, that their client be allowed not to wear the electronic monitoring device. At that time, the court denied the request.
Yesterday, Yermak's side got what it wanted: the court allowed him not to wear the bracelet, since, according to an independent medical expert, the device may pose a threat to his life and health.
In late November 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) searched the office of the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, in the government quarter.
It soon emerged that the head of the Ukrainian president's office, Andriy Yermak, had resigned; he had previously led the negotiating delegation. Zelensky later proposed Budanov to head the Ukrainian president's office in place of Yermak. It was also reported that Andriy Yermak was suspected of money laundering. He was arrested shortly afterwards.
