In the private sector of Almaty's Turksib district, local residents stumbled upon an object that looked like a pistol. After the discovery was reported, an investigative team immediately arrived at the scene, according to the website infohub.kz.
According to the Almaty Police Department, the object was seized and sent for forensic ballistics examination. Specialists will now determine whether the find is a firearm, as well as its origin, ownership, and possible connection to previously committed offenses.
The police emphasized that if weapons or similar objects are found, they should never be touched or moved. "It is necessary to immediately report the find to the police by calling 102," the department reminded.
