A 23-year-old man has died after a suspected dog attack at a rural property in Sydney's south-west, as police begin an investigation. This was reported by infohub.kz.
On Wednesday, the body of the 23-year-old man was found at a rural property in Sydney's south-west. When police arrived at the scene, they found the body with significant injuries and established a crime scene.
According to New South Wales police, initial inquiries indicate the man may have been attacked by animals prior to his death. Sydney radio station 2GB reported that about eight dogs lived at the Eschol Park property. However, none of those animals were registered or microchipped.
Campbelltown City detectives have launched an investigation into the man's death. The Campbelltown council said it was assisting police. A council spokesperson said they are supporting police inquiries and will continue to assist as required, in accordance with its legislative responsibilities, including determining the registration and ownership status of the dogs.
The investigation is ongoing, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
