Police received a report that a minor had fallen into an open well. Patrol police officers and crews from the Berkut-163 and Berkut-164 units immediately arrived at the scene.
The victim's 12-year-old sister said they were chasing a kitten when the older girl didn't notice the open well and fell in. The well was about four meters deep.
“Without wasting a moment, the police calmed the child, lowered a rope, and while maintaining constant communication, helped her climb out. Thanks to the professional and coordinated actions of police officers Askarbek A., Bazarbayev D., Jamanaev A., Narikbayev D., and Myrzakhmetov D., the child was saved. The girl was handed over to medics and received necessary assistance,” the regional police said.
It was noted that neighborhood police inspectors issued an order to close the dangerous well and take measures against those responsible.
Additionally, a preventive conversation was held with the minors' parents about the inadmissibility of children being outside without adult supervision at night and the need to strengthen control over their safety.
