Singer Tamara Asar has responded to those criticizing her on social media, reports infohub.kz.
Recently, the singer joined a party and was registered as a candidate for deputy of the constituent assembly. She also said she wants to raise the issue of people who have lost limbs. "The fact that a singer joining a party and being nominated has caused such dissonance in society is unusual. Does that mean that in the understanding of active commentators, an artist should be far from politics and social work? Or is the profession of a singer so strong or repulsive that it stirs up the entire internet? Every person has a political desire in their heart — the desire to benefit the country, to serve society. The upbringing from my parents, accumulated knowledge, academic degree, life experience — that's what supports me in accepting the party's proposal! The election campaign has just begun, the activity and turnout of parties have not yet yielded results. No one has started campaigning. A candidate is not 100% a deputy. Premature hasty opinions are violence not against someone else, but against oneself. 'Do not rejoice if they speak well, and do not grieve if they speak badly. If you rejoice, you will become proud; if you grieve, you will lose yourself,' my father used to say. Dear compatriots! A huge thank you to those who rejoiced, gave good reviews and congratulations! And to those who cut ears, pierce the crown, dedicate posts, allocate space on their pages, take on my sins and hardships, open the way for me — a thousand thanks. Your actions only make me stronger," the singer wrote.
