In Taraz, patrol police stopped a 28-year-old driver who performed dangerous drifting on a city street at night. Officers spotted the maneuver and detained the offender, reports infohub.kz.
It later emerged that the dangerous driving was the result of a bet with a friend. The driver wanted to prove his skills, executed a drift, and filmed the incident.
Following an investigation, the man was held administratively liable for damaging the road surface and violating noise restrictions. The court sentenced him to 10 days in jail.
Police emphasized that such violations will be dealt with as harshly as possible.
