Roman, a resident of Taraz, has won a substantial prize of 62.9 million tenge in the "5/36" lottery from "Sәтті Zhuldyz". According to the man, the lottery was a pastime that his wife turned a blind eye to, despite being skeptical of his habit. But the situation changed when Roman learned he had hit the jackpot, reports infohub.kz.
Roman admits he had known about "Sәтті Zhuldyz" lotteries for a long time, but only started participating a few months ago. "It all started with TeleBingo, which airs on Sundays and can be watched online or on TV. Then I found out there were other lotteries and decided to try them. '4/20' attracted me with its low price, then I tried '5/36', 'LOTO 6/49'. At first I bought paper tickets at a retail outlet, and later switched to online," the winner shares.
His wife was somewhat skeptical of this hobby, not too happy about spending money on lottery tickets. However, she didn't oppose her husband's pastime, even though winnings rarely exceeded the cost of the ticket itself. Moreover, the couple is raising three children, so every tenge counts in the family. But Roman set a limit for himself: to buy no more than one ticket.
"I was trying to buy hope. My life situation was such that the lottery became, so to speak, my last hope for something better. It seemed impossible to get out of this pit on my own—lack of money, health problems," Roman explained.
But recently, something incredible happened—fortune smiled on the family, and the man literally hit the jackpot, winning 62,901,700 tenge. Upon learning of the prize, he immediately shared the news with his wife, who at first didn't believe it, but then was overjoyed.
"She wished me luck when I was leaving for Almaty to claim the winnings. First, we'll plug all the 'holes'—in the budget, health, and all matters. And then, probably, we'll spend something on pleasure," the Taraz resident shared his plans. He added that he himself was initially doubtful about the news of the win, but after completing all the paperwork to receive the prize, he is confident that everything will be fine. "I hadn't seen anyone from Taraz win a big prize before; usually it was residents of Almaty, Astana, or Shymkent. Those cities have larger populations and a higher standard of living, so they can afford to buy tickets more often. That's why I'm glad that there's a winner from our city too. I wish everyone to have hope. Participate if you believe," Roman wished.
Meanwhile, Kazakhs can win not only money but also a car. The drawing for a new crossover in the "Loto 6/49" lottery will take place on September 15 at 22:00 live on the "Sәтті Zhuldyz" channels on VK and YouTube. To participate, you need to purchase a LotoSet "Crossover", consisting of 6 tickets, at an offline point of sale or on the website sz.kz. Each LotoSet gives a chance to win a car, and the number of LotoSets per participant is not limited. In addition, each participant can become the owner of the jackpot, which currently stands at 79,361,400 tenge.
