A Taraz resident has been sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest for deliberately damaging another person's property: he kicked the gate and scratched it with a sharp object, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the official Telegram channel of the courts of Zhambyl Region, the specialized court for administrative offenses in Taraz heard a case against a local resident over the deliberate damage of another person's property (Part 1 of Article 147-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
It was established that in September 2026, the man went to the victim's house to find out when the latter would be able to finish repairs. The offender had previously carried out construction work at the home of the victim's daughter under a contract.
"Since no one opened the door for him, he decided to announce his presence: he kicked the gate several times and left scratches on it with a sharp object, including on the wicket gate, thereby deliberately damaging the victim's property," the court said.
The man's guilt was proven by a protocol, surveillance camera footage, photographs of the damaged gate and testimony from the parties. The offender fully admitted his guilt and said he was ready to compensate for the damage caused.
The victim stated that the gate was worth 80,000 tenge, but the damage had not been compensated, and asked for a strict punishment.
The sanction under Part 1 of Article 147-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses provides for a fine of 50 monthly calculation indices or administrative arrest for a term of 5 to 20 days. The court found no mitigating or aggravating circumstances.
By court order, the Taraz resident was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 147-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest. The order has entered into legal force.
