She also became the first-ever recipient of the Artist Director award. With these achievements, Swift has become the most awarded artist in the history of the ceremony.
The singer dedicated her win to the "greatest showwoman" Dolly Parton, who died in August at the age of 80.
During the ceremony, it was also revealed that Madonna was the year's most nominated artist, receiving 13 nominations and seven awards. Three of them were presented during the telecast: for Best Collaboration (with Sabrina Carpenter), Best Choreography, and Artist of the Year.
Earlier, in April, Taylor Swift filed three trademark applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office. According to Variety, this legal move was likely aimed at protecting her persona in the era of artificial intelligence (AI).
