Singer Taylor Swift and American football player Travis Kelce destroyed floral arrangements and decorative elements worth millions of dollars to protect the details of their lavish wedding, held on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, infohub.kz reports.

According to the Daily Mail, all the materials were hauled from New York to Pennsylvania, where they were burned. An insider told the publication the newlyweds wanted to prevent the decor from being stolen and resold at auctions.

The exact disposal site is unknown, but rehearsals and test assemblies of the structures took place at a specialized facility in Lititz, Pennsylvania. The arena was styled as an enchanted forest with live and artificial trees. The singer herself took part in developing the design and warmly thanked the technical team for their work.

According to Page Six, some ideas were scrapped during preparations. A two-tier carousel costing $7 million was replaced with a marquee featuring carnival games because of the expense, and an artificial pond beneath the altar was removed over guest safety concerns.

About a thousand people attended the event. Jason Kelce served as the groom's best man, the bride's brother Austin Swift as her attendant, and comedian Adam Sandler hosted the ceremony. To guard against leaks, guests were barred from using their phones. On the "New Heights" podcast, Kelce noted that the absence of cameras helped guests relax. The couple also does not plan to release any video from the wedding.
