In the Italian town of Spotorno, a 15-year-old boy died from an electric shock at an amusement park attraction. The tragedy occurred on the evening of July 16 after a heavy downpour. The scene has been closed pending investigation, according to infohub.kz.

According to preliminary information, the teenager was at a "strength meter" attraction where players strike a ball fixed to the ground. He had removed his shoes and was standing barefoot. When he touched a metal part of the structure, he was electrocuted.

The victim was rushed to a hospital where doctors attempted resuscitation for over two hours but could not save him. Investigators are looking into the possibility of a short circuit caused by rainwater entering the attraction's electrical panel.

Police cordoned off the area, and the municipality closed the entire amusement park. Authorities are inspecting the electrical system and determining the circumstances of the incident. The mayor of Spotorno expressed condolences to the family.
