Rescuers assisted a group of teenagers in the mountains near Almaty after one of them strayed from the path during an ascent, reports infohub.kz.
The incident occurred near Skalisty Peak. Emergency rescue personnel helped the teenagers who found themselves in a difficult situation. One of them, born in 2008, lost the trail while climbing and could not continue on his own.
Rescuers safely escorted him and the other two teenagers to the Alma-Arasan ecopost. The teens did not require medical attention.
"The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: before heading into the mountains, plan your route in advance, consider weather conditions, estimate your return time before dark, bring a charged phone and flashlight, and inform relatives of your plans," urged the rescuers.
