In Shymkent, transport police detained teenagers who were throwing stones at a passing train. The minors were taken to the police station along with their parents, who were held accountable for improper upbringing of their children, reports infohub.kz.
According to the press service of the Department of Transport Police, officers of the police department at Shymkent station, who were ensuring public order and safety on the passenger train running between Saratov and Almaty, stopped a serious offense. From the window of the carriage, they spotted three teenagers who were standing along the railway tracks and throwing stones at the train.
Quickly assessing the situation, the officers contacted the train driver and instructed him to reduce speed. As a result of the measures taken, the three teenagers were detained. Subsequently, the minors were brought to the transport police department at Shymkent station together with their parents. In the presence of their legal representatives, they confessed to the act.
Preventive talks were held with the teenagers about safe behavior rules at railway facilities, and their parents were held accountable for improper fulfillment of their duties in raising their children.
