After a recent sharp depreciation, Kazakhstan's national currency is gradually strengthening again: during the trading day, the dollar has already lost more than 5 tenge in value, reports infohub.kz.

According to data from the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), during trading on October 7, the dollar continued to weaken — by 15:30 it had lost 5.6 tenge and fell to 447.14 tenge.

The euro also followed this trend — its rate dropped to 501.16 tenge (down 7.46 tenge).

Exchange offices in major cities have also adjusted their prices. According to data from the portal Kurs.kz, they offer the following rates for the dollar:

Astana: buying — 445 tenge, selling — 452 tenge;

Almaty: buying — from 443.5 to 447.8 tenge, selling — from 448 to 450.5 tenge;

Shymkent: buying — from 446 to 447 tenge, selling — from 448 to 449 tenge.

Since the euro has also become cheaper, its value at exchange offices has been adjusted as well:

Astana: buying — 496 tenge, selling — 506 tenge;

Almaty: buying — from 495 to 502.5 tenge, selling — from 503.5 to 510 tenge;

Shymkent: buying — from 500 to 503 tenge, selling — from 503 to 518 tenge.
