In the Almaty region, parents of students at one of the comfortable schools faced an unexpected problem: their children did not have enough textbooks, and parents had to print materials themselves. The regional education department commented on the situation, reports infohub.kz.
In the Telegram channel "Letters to the President," a Kazakh woman posted an appeal saying that her child has to study using printed copies of electronic textbooks. She expressed bewilderment at the situation, noting that it creates additional inconvenience for the family.
In the comments under the post, representatives of the Almaty region education department clarified that this concerns fourth-grade students at a comfortable school in the village of Almalybak, Karasai district. The department explained that at the beginning of the school year, due to an increase in the number of students, there was a temporary shortage of some textbooks. To avoid interrupting the educational process, students were allowed to temporarily use electronic versions and available materials.
At the same time, the department emphasized that there was no mandatory requirement to print textbooks in full on A4 paper and bring them to school. "Printing electronic textbooks in paper format is not mandatory for parents," officials noted.
Currently, additional textbooks are being purchased in the Karasai district. They are expected to arrive at schools on Monday, September 7. Thus, the problem should be resolved in the near future.
Earlier, in Shymkent, parents of schoolchildren also expressed dissatisfaction with the condition of textbooks received for the start of the school year.
