Thai police do not rule out that the suspects in the murder of the Nazimov siblings may have killed more people, reports infohub.kz.

At the Huai Yai police station in the suburbs of Pattaya, RIA Novosti was told that the two Thais accused of killing Russians Diana and Roman Nazimov may have been involved in other murders. It is at this station that the case of the Nazimovs' deaths is being investigated.

"A series of murders committed by the same criminals over several years is possible," the agency's source noted.

The investigation has established that in the forest where the bodies of the Russians and three other Thais were found, there may be burials of at least two more people, possibly killed by the same criminals. It is believed that the suspects had three accomplices, two of whom have already been arrested.

"We are now also checking all cases of missing persons during the periods when the main defendant in the murder case of Roman and Diana Nazimov, three-time convict Thana Katthong, nicknamed Pong, was at large," the police station said.

According to Pong's confession during interrogations, it was he who shot Roman and beat his sister Diana to death, the agency's sources added.

The bodies of the Russians, as well as three Thai citizens found in a nearby grave, are at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Bangkok. The results of the examinations will be handed over to the investigation.

Recall that the Russians went missing on the morning of July 26; later their Honda ADV 150 motorcycle was found dismantled and buried near an old cemetery in Chonburi province.

Later, two suspects were detained and confessed to the murder of 22-year-old Diana Nazimova and her 17-year-old brother Roman. According to their testimony, they wanted to steal the motorcycle, but when the young people resisted, they shot the younger brother and then beat his older sister to death.

The suspects also indicated where the bodies were buried. Next to the Russians, three dead Thais were found: a man, a woman, and a girl.

Soon, a crowd gathered at the police station in Thailand demanded the death penalty for the suspects in the murder of the sister and brother from Russia, as well as a local family. The Prime Minister of Thailand commented on the brutal murder of the Russians and called the tragedy a "terrible shame" for the country.
