Canadian musician The Weeknd debuted an unreleased track during a concert at a stadium in Hong Kong, paying tribute to local pop star Faye Wong, infohub.kz reports.

The artist opened a four-show run on his After Hours Til Dawn world tour at Hong Kong's new Kai Tak Stadium. The highlight of the first night was the premiere of a song titled Hong Kong. The new track is built on a sample from Seasonal Wind, a 1993 classic by the renowned Chinese singer Faye Wong.

The premiere was accompanied by special visuals created exclusively for the local audience and shown on the arena's giant screens. The video blends the metropolis's neon-lit night streets with the musician's signature dark aesthetic, evoking scenes from cult Hong Kong films. The crowd warmly received the musical gesture and noted the Canadian artist's genuine affection for the city.

Before the tour began, the singer also met with local celebrities. Ahead of the first shows, he dined with well-known Hong Kong actor Tony Leung and his wife Carina Lau, then went on to perform before crowds of thousands.
