A third earthquake of the day was recorded in the Almaty Region on September 28 at 13:53 by the seismic station network of NNCSNiI LLP, according to infohub.kz.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations said in its Telegram channel that the epicenter was located in Kazakhstan, 254 kilometers southeast of Almaty.
Residents of the Almaty Region felt the tremors: in Narynkol the intensity was 2–3 points, and in Kegen it was 2 points.
"Specialists from the Kazselezashchita state institution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations monitored riverbeds, hydraulic structures, and landslide- and mudflow-prone areas. They also conducted a visual inspection of life-support facilities for possible damage. The inspection found no damage, and these facilities are currently operating normally," the ministry said.
No reports of destruction or casualties have been received. The situation is stable.

Then at 09:38, the seismic station network of NNCSNiI LLP of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan recorded an earthquake. It was reported that the seismic event was recorded in Almaty. Videos of Almaty residents evacuating buildings and apartments began circulating online.
Specialists from the Kazselezashchita state institution of the Ministry of Emergency Situations monitored riverbeds. Later, the Almaty Emergency Situations Department addressed city residents after the earthquake — rescuers announced the NNCSNiI forecast.
