Police in the Pavlodar region have detained three suspects in connection with an incident that killed six workers of a local company, reports infohub.kz.
As previously reported, on July 20, in the village of Zholaman, Aktogay district, Pavlodar region, six people died while repairing an electric pump in a sewer manhole. One more person was hospitalized.
At the time, the regional police department announced the initiation of a criminal case, but details were not disclosed.
On August 11, the press service of the Pavlodar region police department reported that a pre-trial investigation was being conducted by the investigative department.
"As part of the criminal case, comprehensive investigative measures are being carried out to establish all circumstances. Currently, three suspects have been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. In accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, other information is not subject to disclosure in the interests of the investigation," the police department said.
