An incident that could have led to serious consequences occurred at the Almaty-1 railway station. Three men, under the influence of alcohol, attempted to jump onto the step of a departing train and threw foreign objects at the driver's cab. As a result, the driver had to apply emergency braking, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Transport Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the incident took place at Almaty-1 station. Law enforcement officers detained three citizens who grossly violated the rules of conduct on railway transport and created a real threat to traffic safety.

The identities of the violators were established - they turned out to be residents of Zhambyl and Almaty regions, aged 32 to 35. At the moment of departure of the passenger train en route Almaty - Atyrau, they attempted to jump onto the step of the locomotive while holding onto handrails. Simultaneously, they began throwing foreign objects at the driver's cab.

Due to the threat to people's safety, the driver applied emergency braking. The unscheduled stop lasted two minutes.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the detained individuals. The grounds were drinking alcoholic beverages or appearing in public places in a state of intoxication, as well as violating the rules of conduct at railway transport facilities.
