A man traveling without a ticket died on a train from Atyrau to Aktobe, and those responsible have been held accountable, according to infohub.kz.
The incident occurred on July 13, 2026, on passenger train No. 691/692 on the Kandyagash–Aktobe section. According to Passenger Transportation company (as reported by Kazinform news agency), the train chief stated that the passenger was traveling without a ticket and was boarded by a conductor. During the journey, the man died suddenly.
The air conditioning system in the carriage was operating normally, and the temperature met standards, the company added.
The body was handed over to authorized officers for necessary procedural actions upon arrival at Aktobe station.
Following an internal investigation, employment contracts with two conductors and the train chief were terminated. Additionally, the head of the Aktobe section and the production training instructor received severe reprimands. Senior management of the Western branch also faces strict disciplinary measures, up to dismissal.
The circumstances are being investigated by the Line Police Department at Aktobe station. It is suspected that the passenger may have died from double pneumonia.
